The monthly cost of these products is between R$250 and R$300 - which in US$ is between US$150 to US$180 for a family of 4 people - 2 adults and 2 children.

Taking the mean of US$165 for a 30 day month = US$5.50 per day for 4 people, which is US$1.38 per day per person.

In terms of the Shalom Center, which caters for 90 children every day; just US$124.20 will provide 90 children per day with the basics, or US$1.38 will provide for one person per day.
