What is Rotary?

Rotary is a worldwide organization of more than 1.2 million business, professional, and community leaders worldwide. Members of Rotary clubs, known as Rotarians, perform service both locally and internationally, help build goodwill and peace and encourage high ethical standards in their members.

Clubs are nonpolitical, nonreligious, and open to all cultures, races, and creeds. Rotary's main objective is service - in the community, in the workplace, and throughout the world.

That's it!  Beyond the basics, Rotary offers much more if you choose.  Trips to administer Polio vaccines in Nigeria, annual conventions all over the globe, you name it;  Rotary can open doors to exciting new destinations or the local school down the street, it's entirely up to you.

Why join the Crofton Rotary?

As a new member, you'll get a chance to become more involved in your community and to provide aid to other parts of the world.  No matter what interests you, Rotary can help you get involved and make a difference.

What are my responsibilities?

Rotary commitment varies with your personal involvement.  Basic dues cover the cost of our weekly meal and dues to Rotary International and average $145 per quarter for our club.

We meet once a week for one hour, Tuesday mornings at 7:15 am, where we discuss projects, club business and upcoming events.  Every last Tuesday of each month, we hold an evening social and informal meeting at a local restaurant/bar, where friends and family are welcome.

You are welcome to come and join us at any of our meetings.
